A child born from a Kori male & a Brahmin female is of the Thathera (Utensil makers) caste. A child born from a Kori male & a Kshatriya female is of the Sonar (Goldsmith) caste.

A child born from a Sonar male & a Kshatriya female is of the Dhobi (Launderer) caste. They are untouchables.
