Yahoo Messenger Spam
I've been having this problem for the last few days - with spam messages coming from my contacts. The case used to be that I got lots of spam messages from people I've never known, nowadays, these messages seem to come from people in my contact list!!
The messages come with the audible Ping, which till now I've understood to be followed by an urgent message by my friends...

I've been receiving these as well. I think my friend's system is infected but he says it isn't and is unable to find anything improperly installed.
let me know if you get this resolved :-)
i'm getting these messages too, especially from 2 particular contacts; i recommended to change the yahoo password as i thought their account got cracked, but still get from them. indeed it started around march 1st.
