when i try downloading, i get the following error in the firefox error console

I got rid of this by removing the default profile and creating a default profile again. I forgot to back up and lost all my bookmarks and downloaded plugins.

Same thing, glad to know it's not something I did :)
I have the same problem, I uninstalled firefox and deleted every word that said "firefox" from the registry. and when I reinstalled it I still had the same problem. How do you delete the default profile?
