Orkut Banned, please help
Orkut, the site of choice for friends and others, where I met some good people recently, and found some long-lost friends, has been blocked in my beloved company. I've tried everything I knew - using IP number, orkat.com, and proxies, but I've been unsuccessful till now. What would little Manoj do to play now? For the last two weeks, I was spruced up and ready to go (to work) that I have been working 5 hours of my 8 hours spent here, clearing all my backlogs (except a few remaining) I am so dedicated that I even slept in the office a week back; nothing official, but neither I nor my roommate had our keys after we saw the movie Munich, which ended at 1.30 am. Instead of waking up our neighbours, who had a set of keys, we just decided to go to our offices and sleep there. Now, I think the vanity is wearing off. Anyway, saw Ice Age 2 last night, and went back to Jai Jawan Chicken andFish Centre - they stopped selling chicken after the birdflu scare, but restarted it. It is very difficult without having a non-veg activity partner in this city.
If anyone could provide a workaround to this Orkut ban, I would erect a statue in your name.

you must be able to use some anonymous proxy site in order to "encode" the url and get past your proxy server.. go to www.proxy.org for a huge list of such anonymous proxy sites..otherwise, try www.your-freedom.net ..they give you a software to install (which i think you can install even as a guest user in XP) and having used that software personally, i can assure you that using it, you can get past any kind of firewall..

there is a network hack in ur explorer !!
open commandprompt and type ping.exe keep it open and open task manager then processes end the process explorer.exe do this in safe mode then restart the computer manually then click on start then run then type msconfig.
them go to system restore then restore the computer to an early clean checkpoint when the message did'nt came....restore to that point....
it'll take about 5mins.......

The reason it is blocked is because it is not allowed. Only some particular sites are allowed to open and they do... rest... all are blocked. You'll have to get into master server for that.. nothng else will work!

if you are getting the error (THE ORKUT IS BANED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR YOU FOOL )on opening orkut , you tube then do dis THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROB
1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the processes tab
2. Look for svchost.exe under the image name. There will be many but look for the ones which have your username under the username
3. Press DEL to kill these files. It will give you a warning, Press Yes
4. Repeat for more svchost.exe files with your username and repeat. Do not kill svchost.exe with system, local service or network service!
5. Now open My Computer
6. In the address bar, type “C:\heap41a” and press enter
7. Delete all the files here
8. Now go to start -> Run and type “Regedit”
9. Go to the menu EDIT –> FIND
10. Type “heap41a” here and press enter
11. You will get something like this “[winlogon] C:\heap41a\svchost.exe C:\heap(some number)\std.txt
”
12. Press DEL. It will ask “Are you sure you want to delete this value”, click “Yes”
13. Now close the registry editor

my college uses 'Watchguard HTTP Proxy' for security...
it does not allow any of the above sites because it checks the details and blocks sites of Entertainment, Media, Proxies, Videos and also some local exceptions added by College like Orkut, Facebook
