One of the few Indians who's lifted by others - A R Rahman.
Even if I am not fanatic about his music, I like it. A R Rahman definitely defined the Generation X in India and lifted Tamil movies music out of the rut especially the pathetic post-disco music. Being a city boy, i could never identify with the "sound of village". Maybe a lot of people liked it and like it, i never did and may never will. A R Rahman gave the paisans something to dance to.

Tales of the tainted governor took up so much ink and airtime that the potentates of the press didn't even notice the sex scandal that claimed the career of another powerful hypocrite: Tehran's brutal police chief, General Reza Zarei. The general, a favorite of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has been responsible for "moral enforcement" of Sharia law, including "dress codes" that require women to be covered from head to toe. The chief "stepped down" after he was caught nude in a Tehran brothel accompanied by six naked prostitutes. It's a shame our press corps missed this one.

A situation like this, those talking about morality of others, are not so innocent, should we reexamine Sushma Swaraj and her ban on FTV, leading to me cursing her till now?

Arranged Marriage is not just a song by Apache India. If any Indian females come across this, can you give your perspective or thoughts or comments on this things? What you look for in a prospective husband - height weight mentally etc? If you were give a chance to talk and make a choice what would you discuss and what will you consider before your decision?

Abominable creature, I am!!

Reliance doesn't want to do open business with me, because...

A rather unusual matter was brought up at the AGM by a shareholder. If Reliance had large retail plans, then would the company be also selling meats, poultry and fish, a staple at comprehensive super markets?

This would be abhorrent to a large section of the (Gujarati family promoted) company’s vegetarian shareholders who came from the Gujarat-Rajasthan belt in the country, said this shareholder.

And we know, as vegetarians, Gujjus are peaceloving people, and are highly principled - they respect all people irrespective of religion, caste, colour, or food preference, have high principles to uphold, don't do anything illegal, and their businesses are ethical and force other businesses to be non-discriminatory.

Hmmm, what will Reliance guys do? Effectively give out a lucrative, high-margin business to others, or face the wrath of those peace-loving Jains again?

But, while the name ‘Reliance’ will not be associated with non-veg, Mr Ambani added that the company’s retail operations would still “do that business,” either through a subsidiary or by some other means. “There is an integrated India,” he reminded his audience, implying that there are different cultures in the country and that business should cater to all.

Firefox problem

I'm not able to download anything in firefox now
when i try downloading, i get the following error in the firefox error console

I got rid of this by removing the default profile and creating a default profile again. I forgot to back up and lost all my bookmarks and downloaded plugins.
